Environmental Science in Building

This work examines the science and technology of those provisions and services that are required in the built environment. The main considerations are the effects of heat, light and sound within buildings. In addition other essential requirements such as supplies of electricity and water are discussed. While the basic structure of the book remains the same in this edition, all chapters are revised, some material is rearranged, and several new sections are added. This work is intended for students on degree, HNC/HND, GNVQ and Edexcel/BTEC courses in building, surveying, civil engineering, building services engineering, planning and development; and students preparing for CIOB, RICS and other professional qualifications.
