Bulgaria

This work, one of a series covering all Marxist regimes, examines and evaluates critically the application of Marxist doctrine to Bulgaria, assessing its interpretations, its successes and its failures. The study is placed in historical context and considers the social structures, the economy and the political systems of Bulgaria. The government's domestic and foreign policies are examined, covering such issues as party/state relations, political dissent, education and culture, and military affairs.
