Patrick McGuire is Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Toledo. His work has appeared in Sociological Quarterly, Critical Sociology, Social Science Quarterly and elsewhere. Donald McQuarie is Director of Graduate Studies and Professor of Sociology at Bowling Green State University. He is the editor of Marx: Sociology, Social Change, Capitalism (1978) and Readings in Contemporary Sociological Theory (1994). He has published papers in Critical Sociology, American Sociologist, Sociological Quarterly, and Social Science Quarterly. His current research interest is municipal socialism in Ohio at the turn of the century.
