Description
Having saved the Kingdom of Merriwarts and united his giant friends Queen Gertrude and King Herbert in blissful (if smelly) marriage, 10-year-old genius Newton is in need of a new project. For a boy fascinated by dinosaurs, there's only one thing to do: build a time machine so he can go back and see them! But when the test voyage of the time machine-with Herbert and Gertrude on board-ends in a smoky explosion and a missing time machine (not to mention missing giants!), Newton finds himself with new problems to solve.

MICHAEL McGOWAN is the author of Newton and the Giant, a Silver Birch Award winner. He is the writer and director of the award-winning film Saint Ralph, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2004 and went on to screen around the world. He is finishing his next film, One Week, starring Joshua Jackson. McGowan is the creator of the stop-motion children's show Henry's World and has also written extensively for magazines and newspapers. McGowan lives with his wife and their three children in the countryside beyond Toronto.
