Hendrix

This account of the career, music and legacy of the rock musician Jimi Hendrix is based on documents, photographs and the recollections of figures such as Paul McCartney, Miles Davis, Jimmy Page, Peter Frampton and Chas Chandler, as well as band members, girlfriends and lawyers. All of them shed light on Hendrix's whirlwind three-and-a-half-year career. The book aims to explode the myths that have cropped up since his death in 1970, at the age of 27, from a drug overdose.
