British Poultry Standards

The breeding and exhibiting of poultry is not only part of a long tradition but also serves to maintain the pure breeds necessary for the development of commercial hybrid strains. This is a reference to the recognized Poultry Standards in Great Britain. It includes full standards for new breeds now appearing on the show bench, as well as those breeds which continue to be shown regularly. The sections on large fowls and bantams are simplified in this edition so that standards appear together for each breed.
