Leonie H. Mattison is an organizational and talent development practitioner, Author of her books "The Thread Memoir", The Thread Coloring Book", and "Beside Still Waters Devotional", creator of the "T.H.R.E.A.D Six-Step System" and founder of The Thread, a ministry established on the principle that "God can transform any problem for His glory and your good." She stands firmly on the belief that for people and organizations to unleash their potential, improve performance, and increase impact, they must acheive intentional transformation.

Although Leonie was successful in her career, her spiritual life was in severe chaos due to her unhealed childhood that followed her into adulthood. In 2013, after she hit rock bottom and survived a stroke-near death experience, she surrendered her life to Christ.
