Description
I went on a trip overseas, from Australia to Britain and Ireland. I was interested in exploring places I had not been before, and in seeing some of the places where ancestors of mine had lived, going back around 180 years. I went to London, Oxford, Bath, Stonehenge, Nottingham, Durham, Waterford, Edinburgh, St Andrews, and several small towns in Fife. And I got lost a lot. I kept a diary on the trip. I was gratified by the things I saw, both cities and the countryside, and I was touched by the number of people who helped me along the way. The diary became the core of the book, exploring my experiences and my learning.
