James R (Jim) Martin is an Emmy award-winning director, writer, and producer of film, television, video, and multimedia. He is the author of several nonfiction books. Professor Martin taught film and video production at Columbia College Chicago for thirteen years. He was course director of the documentary course at Full Sail University for twenty years and taught directing at the University of Central Florida for one year. He has made independent fiction and nonfiction feature and short films.
