Following the essays are regional overviews, analyzing in depth migration in areas including the Americas, Asia, Europe, Africa, the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
The second section is an A-Z glossary for which contains explanations of the most important terms used in migration discourse, while also providing information on the major international conventions regarding migration, and on organizations and research institutes in the field. Where appropriate, maps, statistical tables and charts are included, as are lists of further reading suggestions.
