Revelation

Patmos - the final ferry stop in the Dodecanese, steeped in mystique and ancient meaning - forms the backdrop to a modern journey of reflection and change.

Jon arrives weighed down by grief, exhaustion, and the loss of his job. With his troubles stuffed into an old rucksack, he sets out on the gap year he never took, drifting from island to island in search of renewal. Instead, his despair deepens, his burden seeming to grow heavier with every mile.

On Patmos, he encounters the story of another exile: John, who, two thousand years earlier, wrote the apocalyptic Book of Revelation during his banishment to this same island. The tale strikes a chord, linking Jon's inner struggle to the island's powerful spiritual past.

Gradually, the island's residents draw him in - an enigmatic young girl, a lively taverna owner, a talkative bus driver, and a free-spirited bookseller - offering unexpected warmth and connection.
