This primary text for a paragraph-essay development English course addresses the needs of students who lack adequate paragraph and essay writing skills and who need instruction in making connections between reading and writing. To provide instruction in paragraph and essay writing, a logical sequence of assignments is given that allows the student to pracrice various model paragraphs then use and combine them in essay writing. The writing process is emphasised and practiced throughout the text.
