The Practice of Primary Nursing

Primary nursing is a system designed to allocate 24-hour responsibility for each patient's care to one individual nurse, and also to assign this nurse to the actual provision of her/his patient's physical care whenever possible. It is thus a high-quality system for delivering nursing care in an inpatient facility and, accordingly, should be an aim of every nurse.
