Still Life

They are the last line of defense against the occult, the supernatural, and the beings on the fringe of believability. When life-like statues suddenly begin appearing all over the streets of New Orleans, the O.R.C. (Observe, Research, and Contain) Foundation sounds the alarm. Field agents Max and Javi are dispatched to investigate, expecting a routine anomaly. Instead, they discover a nightmare: the statues are real people, flesh and blood turned to cold stone, their souls violently stripped away. The investigation leads the duo far from the city streets and into a hidden world of ancient threats. To solve the mystery, Max and Javi must survive encounters with forgotten deities, enraged cryptids, and a Gorgon sister hiding in the shadows of the bayou. As if things weren't bad enough, Baron Samedi, the Lord of the Dead, is losing his patience, and if Max and Javi cannot find the souls, the Baron will reap the entire coastline to balance his ledger. Armed with advanced tech and rudimentary magic, Max and Javi must navigate a realm where reality is a suggestion and the gods are playing a game of cosmic stakes.
