Principles of Highway Engineering and Traffic Analysis

This second edition focuses on highway transportation and provides an in-depth coverage of individual topics. Motivated by the need to update material in the first edition as a result of changes in highway design manuals and procedures, the authors draw on comments and suggestions of other instructors as well as on their own experience in teaching with the text. This edition includes numerous problems, some requiring computer solution. Also new to this edition are: use of metric units; incorporation of latest design specifications; many additional examples and end-of-chapter problems; added sections on highway drainage; and an added chapter on traffic signal timing.
