Wireless Seismic Data Acquisition Networks

A comprehensive model that describes a Wireless Seismic Data Acquisition (WSDA) system for onshore data acquisition applications in oil and gas explorations is presented in this work. The model addresses major requirements and challenges attributed to WSDA networks based on a proposed network architecture. It serves as a general tool and benchmark to analyze and predict the performance of WSDA systems prior to the commencement of the survey or data acquisition process.
