Description
Women in STEM: Breaking Down the Barriers provides a comprehensive examination of the persistent underrepresentation of women across science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Drawing from extensive research spanning preschool education through university and employment sectors, this book uniquely integrates perspectives from all three key developmental stages to offer a complete analysis of the barriers women face. It critically evaluates existing interventions and approaches, revealing which strategies have proven effective and which have fallen short.
Women in STEM: Breaking Down the Barriers delivers practical, actionable recommendations for stakeholders across the STEM ecosystem and will be of use to professional bodies, universities and government policy makers as well as students in gender studies, sociology and education.
