Two Disciples at the Tomb

The passage in the Fourth Gospel on the supposed visit by Peter and by the disciple whom Jesus loved to the tomb is of considerable importance both for tracing the way early Christian proclamation of Jesus' resurrection developed and for working out a more reliable orientation in dealing with the kaleidoscopic «Johannine question.» This work on John 20.1-10 discusses the principal problems involved thoroughly, clearly, and with an effort to reach realistic solutions.
