Kassam Mahomed is a Senior Consultant and Professor at Ipswich Hospital and the University of Queensland, Australia. He has written several textbooks, including Evidence-based Obstetrics, and has authored two chapters in High Risk Pregnancy, as well as 130 articles in peer-reviewed journals related to the evaluation of interventions in obstetrics. He has collaborated with the World Health Organisation, the UK Department for International Development, and the Swedish Agency for Research Cooperation with Developing Countries. He has also served on the Queensland Maternal and Perinatal Quality Council, and has been a lead clinician in the development of several of the Queensland Maternity and Neonatal Clinical Guidelines.
