Description
Three British Asian men are incarcerated in an unfamiliar land. Are they guilty or innocent? Truth and deception are woven together in this powerful tale exploring today's controversial approach to counter terrorism. Inspired by the "Guardian" dossiers of interviews from Guantanamo Bay, this illuminating and daring new play looks at how the global 'war on terror' has rocked our perceptions of national and religious identity, and challenged our preconceptions about freedom and democracy. Produced by Conspirators' Kitchen, "The Hot Zone" opens at the Brady Arts Centre (London) in October 2005, followed by a tour including Lyric Theatre Hammersmith.
