Description
When hard times hit, and a drought furthermore causes the Jensen family to lose their Idaho farm, they must sell, pack up, and look for work in another state; a move that requires leaving their beloved pig, Bruno, behind with the new owners. Raised with the Jenson children, it's a sad situation for both Bruno and the entire family. Alone in the barn with just a handful of chickens and a cow, Bruno grows despondent. He loses weight, and when his new owners talk about sending him to market while he can still fetch a good price, he realizes that his days on the farm are numbered. He hatches a plan. One morning before daybreak, he bravely leaves his corner in the barn and goes in search of the family he lost. His journey on foot, by truck, and plane takes him far afield on an amazing adventure, which eventually comes to the attention of people who ultimately and against all odds, help him reunite with the Jensens. A happy reunion. But that's not all. A Hollywood producer hears of Bruno's unusual story, pays a visit to the Jensens - a lucrative visit - which enables them to buy back their beloved Idaho farm with money left over to install irrigation that will mitigate any future drought.
