Description
A translation of a French book originally published in 1913, just before World War I. French journalist Jules Huret shows us the German Empire as it is during the years he lived there, a book that, because of its date of publication, shows us exactly what it was like to live in the German Empire during Europe's last days of peace.
Reading Huret's accounts, there is indeed some fear of a war in Europe. But for the most part it is not about war, because there was no war. Huret raves about what he likes about Germany, and is just as harsh in his criticism for the negative parts. He experiences Germany as it is and tells us about it.
This book is part 1 of 3 of Huret's original work, split up due to its length.
