Description
Physician and healthcare provider burnout is a nation crisis.
Providers are frustrated, exhausted, bitter, and resentful. They are discouraged by how they are commoditized and devalued by the healthcare system. Too many are fearful, feeling hopeless, depressed, and even suicidal. Relationship with family and friends are in jeopardy. Why is practicing medicine and trying to help patients so difficult? But our cries for help largely go unnoticed. The "system" acknowledges the problem, but very few have meaningful solutions.
Waiting for others to fix healthcare and to positively impact your burnout is not a good strategy.
Fist Pumps: The Prescription for Physician Burnout provides practical solutions to implement and ways of thinking that will inspire and motivate.
