Persons
Chris Maaß is a professor of media linguistics at the University of Hildesheim. There she is the director of the Research Centre for Easy Language. She is author and co-author of five monographs on Easy and Plain Language and co-editor of the Handbook of Accessible Communication. Furthermore, she is the director of the Master's programme in Accessible Communication at the University of Hildesheim and an appointed advisor to the German Federal Government's Accessibility Initiative for Digital/Easy Language
Ekaterina Lapshinova-Koltunski is a professor of multilingual specialised communication at the University of Hildesheim. She teaches translation studies and specialised communication there and heads the master's programme in international specialised communication. Her research interests include the evaluation of machine translation.
Julian Hörner works as a project manager at the publishing house Wort & Bild Verlag. There, he is responsible for implementing complex projects in health journalism. His area of expertise comprises the creation and preparation of health information in Plain Language in order to promote health literacy among the population
