Joe Lyon is an award-winning American Novelist and Playwright born in Springfield, Ohio. In the cornfields of the Midwest, he did not take naturally to his farming chores, so he grew up creating monsters to be characters in his home-made stories and comic books. He won 14 awards for his Fantasy Fiction Trilogy: Astar's Blade, in which Joe creates a world some have called "wonderfully epic with great texturing and grand scope worldbuilding." In his first Horror novel, The Molossus of Old Man Moyer, he earned 4 more. Joe has a master's degree in business administration and is a US ARMY Military Intelligence veteran. As a musician and prolific songwriter, his over 100 songs can be found on any music streaming service under his band's name of Purple Toad. A book of his Poetry entitled Poetry is Cool came out in 2013. Joe currently lives in Aiken, SC, with his family.
