Description

Stan Lynde is a fourth-generation native Montanan, born and raised on the rangelands of the Crow Indian Reservation in southeastern Montana. He is the creator, author, and artist of two highly acclaimed syndicated comic strips, Rick O'Shay and Latigo.
Stan is a member of the Author's Guild, Western Writers of America, and is an adopted member of the Crow Tribe. He was elected to honorary membership in the Northwest Rendezvous Group of Artists in 2001, and is a 2012 inductee into the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame.
He is the author of eight novels featuring the adventures of U.S. Deputy Marshal Merlin Fanshaw. His novels have received numerous awards, including Western Writers of America's prestigious SPUR Award in 2009.
He divides his time between his native Montana and the Republic of Ecuador.
