Description
This is a guide for the practising GP on how to deal with adult and child respiratory problems in the community. The book covers assessment through to the management of emergencies, and also looks at respiratory problems in relation to the new GMS contract. Respiratory Problems is just one of the titles from the Oxford General Practice Library. This unique series of pocketbooks provides GPs with comprehensive coverage of specific topics in general practice which are linked directly to the requirements of the new GP Contract, and explains how GPs can maximize their salaries. For each book in this groundbreaking series, the authors have expanded on a major section from the bestselling Oxford Handbook of General Practice , adding a host of useful features.
Reviews / Votes
The authors have managed to distil the elements of primary care respiratory medicine into a pocket book without omitting sections such as 'frequently asked questions about childhood asthma' or the cystic fibrosis screen algorithm. COPD is comprehensively dealt with, as is the management of respiratory problems in terminal care. Practice Nurse This is well-written pocket book. The illustrations are useful and the references, phone numbers, and links will save a lot of time for the busy practitioner. Doody's Notes,More details
