Description
From the preface:
"The purpose of this book is to provide an overview of lasers and applications in manufacturing. No attempt has been made to make the book all inclusive. The primary emphasis is on more traditional manufacturing, as opposed to the microelectronics industry, for example. An attempt has been made by the authors to maintain a minimum of mathematics. Calculus is not required for reading the book, but some knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, and physics would be helpful. The book is not intended for scientists or engineers experienced in manufacturing applications of lasers. However, it should be helpful to either scientists or engineers just getting into the field of lasers in manufacturing. Engineering, science, and technology students should also find the book useful as an easy reading preview for more advanced study."
