When Alejandro Luque is given a book of photographs of the Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges, he sets out with three friends to trace the great writer's journey through Sicily.
Discovering the locations of the original pictures, he begins to uncover the many stories that the island has to tell. In a narrative rich with historical details, Luque's own observations are mingled with those of writers past and present.
