Working with German: Level 1

Designed to develop practical language skills for business purposes, this course is aimed at school students following such schemes as the Oxford and Cambridge Certificate in German for Business Studies (formerly AO), FLAW, FLIC, and TVEI; students in colleges, polytechnics and universities studying German with a practical bias; and people in commerce and industry who are likely to need a knowledge of German in the course of their work. This Level 1 coursebook covers the language in a business context up to about GCSE/S-grade level. Students gradually acquire practice in skills such as telex and letter-writing, making telephone calls, translating and summarizing. A corresponding teacher's book containing photocopiable worksheets, and a cassette, are also available.
