Kai Luftner was born in 1975 in Berlin, Germany. Author and director, he has written a number of children's books and runs a cafe in Berlin with his wife. He has numerous books coming out soon, including with Thienemann, Beltz und Gelberg, Gerstenberg and Bloomsburg Books for 2012/2013.
Judith Drews is a Berlin-based children’s books illustrator who also works for magazines and fashion labels. Born in the North of Germany, she spent lots of years in the woods in one of three houses and at the North Sea. She studied illustration and design at the renowned haw Hamburg. Since 2006 she published over 20 books and won many international awards. In 2010 she was nominated for the “German Design Award and was, in 2011, among the selected illustrators for the Bologna Children’s Book Expo.
