Emily Lucas read medical science at the University of Birmingham before obtaining a master's degree in genomic medicine from Queen Mary, University of London. She currently holds the position of University Support Officer at MPW, and helps students with their university applications, as well as supporting students with pre-admissions tests such as the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT). As well as teaching, Emily is currently undertaking a PhD in neuroscience at the University of Southampton. Emily also teaches biology, and is the current author of Trotman's Getting into Veterinary School guide, and co-author of the Getting into Dental School guide.
