Macauley Lord is Head Instructor at the L.L. Bean Fly Fishing School, where he has taught since 1986. He is the fly-casting columnist for American Angler magazine. As an emeritus member of the Casting Board of Governors at the Federation of Fly Fishers, he trains and certifies fly-casting instructors around the country at the primary and master level. He lives in Brunswick, Maine, with his wife, Carol. Jim Rowinski, photographer, is the former Director of Fly Fishing for L. L. Bean and past Coordinator of the L. L. Bean Fly Fishing Schools. He is also wrote "The L. L. Bean Guide to Outdoor Photography," with his wife, Kate. They live in Charlottesville, Virginia.
