Cultivating Intuition

This work is a plea for a humane, non-doctrinaire approach to psychotherapy which is written as a text for practitioners. Whilst acknowledging the fundamental importance of the insights and principles of psychoanalysis, this book shows the student the ways in which his intuition and experience of living can be used to help the patient, showing how psychotherapy is a way of relating to those in anguish by means of the ordinary responses learned from life and experience.
