Kate Lockwood is an award-winning writer, developer, and editor of all kinds of children’s books. Originally from Boston, where she earned a degree in writing, literature, and publishing from Emerson College, Kaitlyn oversees the editorial team at Silver Dolphin Books in San Diego. If she’s not writing, you’ll find her at the beach with her husband, two kids, rescue dog, and a slew of surfboards.
Srimalie Bassani was born in 1986. She lives and works in Mantova, Italy. When Srimalie was a child, her mother inspired her passion for drawing and painting and always encouraged her artistic pursuits. Srimalie attended the Academy of Fine Arts and later earned a master's degree in editorial illustration. Her work is always full of surprises, and she likes to diversify her style based on the story she's illustrating. Her work has appeared in publications from several publishers, including Bacchilega Editore, Lantana Editore, and Gilgamesh Editions. It's difficult to pull her away from her writing desk, where she keeps a stack books, pages, and tea cups of many colors, and where she also amuses her fat cat. If she hadn't been an illustrator, she would have worked in another artistic field because it is what she knows and loves best.
