Description
Sperone is a residential/holiday development, designed by French brothers Guy and Jaques Dewez, in the southernmost tip of Corsica. The houses are all built of wood and carefully placed so as to have equal views over the sea and inland. The quality of the houses, the charm of the setting, and the original use of wood as a building medium, have meant that the development has often been featured in the specialist press. This book covers the history of the project and its architectural approach. It includes details of some of the major houses and maps and plans of the main buildings. The text is based on interviews with the developers and the residents.
