Description
A house built with wood has that something 'extra': a charm and warmth, a timeless cosiness and feel that other houses often miss. In a world that is increasingly becoming a 'concrete jungle', this book refreshingly shows a selection of appealing wooden house projects from the building firm Mi Casa. The key figures behind Mi Casa are Jean-Luc Lidou and Marc Noreille. In 1987 the company was sufficiently expanding so that Jean-Luc Lidou established a retail outlet in Spain and a year later Marc Noreillie set up the manufacturing unit there. However difficulties came when in early 1993 the logo and the patents of Wolfgang Verraes were acquired by a company that is active in the same industry. Jean-Luc Lidou and Marc were forced to create a new brand and logo. 'Mi Casa' was born. After almost 15 years, the company has grown into a company with a reputation within the world of key-on-the-door, solid wood construction, with a turnover of nearly 20 million Euro's, 70 projects per year and 75 staff. "Building with Wood" is a fantastic opportunity to view their wonderfully cosy architectural creation.
