This is a practical guide to learning the fundamentals of abdominal/pelvic MR imaging and interpretation.

Purpose:
The objective is to provide a book that bridges the gap between very detailed resource textbooks and more focused publications such as review articles.

Audience:
The more advanced trainees/residents and practicing radiologists are the intended audience.

Features:
This book details the important physics fundamentals of abdominal MR imaging and provides instruction in various "special" techniques such as angiography and urography. Helpful atlases of normal anatomy and selected abnormalities are included. A section of MR imaging acronyms is a welcome feature.

Assessment:
I found this to be an excellent resource. It fills a void in more traditional body MRI books by providing practical and helpful information on MRI physics and protocol optimization.
