Dr. Lewis's main research interests are the Bayeux Tapestry, eleventh-century material culture and eleventh-century art history. Naomi Speakman is the curator of Late Medieval Europe at the British Museum. She is currently undertaking a PhD at the Courtauld Institute of Art, and her current research interests are gothic ivory carving, late medieval metalwork and the history of collecting.
