Dmitri Levitin is a Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford. He has published extensively on various aspects of pre-modern intellectual history, including the history of philosophy, science, medicine, theology, scholarship, orientalism, and political thought. His Ancient Wisdom in the Age of the New Science was named one of the Times Literary Supplement's Books of the Year and he writes regularly for the Literary Review, the Times Literary Supplement, and the London Review of Books. In 2016 he was awarded the prestigious Leszek Kolakowski Prize for the world's leading early career historian of ideas.
