She researches the interfaces between premodern and contemporary art as well as between so-called high and popular culture. Jeff Crowder, translator: lives and works in Vienna as a university lecturer, translator, and English teacher Maria Lassnig (1919-2014) was a visionary Austrian artist who developed body awareness works long before feminist body art was fashionable.
