Description
The D version of the Mirage 2000 is France's own two-seat conventional all-weather ground attack assault aircraft, which was brought out at the end of the eighties when the Dassault Rafale programme started falling behind schedule. Put into operation in 1993, this version was developed from the Mirage 2000N. Since 1999 the Mirage 2000D has taken part in France's various security operations in Afghanistan supporting the
forces deployed on the ground.
A third volume dealing with the B and C versions will complete this Mirage 2000 collection.
