Description
Twelve haunted tales for all ages meant to be read aloud over the holidays.
Sharing ghost stories has been a holiday tradition since Charles Dickens first published A Christmas Carol. With a story for each of the twelve days of Christmas, Shivers invites you to do the same.
Originally written for radio, each story in this jewel-like collection can be read aloud in about eight minutes. Audiences of all ages will enjoy this opportunity to reconnect as they turn their attention to spectral trains, incorporeal canines, eerie playmates, and shadows of the past. The relentless pings and buzzes of smartphones will be replaced, at least temporarily, by the voices of restless winter spirits that linger in the static of the radio and the silence of the falling snow.
Whether read alone by a fire or in front of a rapt audience, the Christmas spirits introduced in Shivers will rekindle the Christmas spirit in young and old alike.
