Encouraging Housing Maintenance in the Private Sector

At a time when public resources for housing renewal are becoming more restricted, increasing atention is being devoted by policy-makers and practitioners to ways of encouraging home owners to carry out on-going maintenance and small repairs to their homes. This publication examines levels of maintenance activity in the private sector and considers the type of help which home owners require if they are to be encouraged to carry out more maintenance work on their homes.
