Kathryn's broad experience in facilitation, quality tools, instructional design, change management, and process and operations management allows her to build the capacity of individuals and organizations for purposeful and intentional continuous improvement. As a strategic thinker and visionary leader, Kathryn brings diverse groups together to focus and remain committed to organizational performance excellence.
Kathryn leads and manages systemic performance improvement initiatives. She has facilitated the strategic planning process, balanced scorecard development, performance metric monitoring, data analysis, and the documentation of operational and instructional core processes. Kathryn conducts training in leadership development, Lean Six Sigma, project management, team facilitation, and the Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework. Kathryn has worked with non-profits, oil and gas service companies, small businesses, and K-16 education. She has assessed organizations of all sizes and sectors and led organizations through internal assessments using the Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework. Kathryn always seeks to inspire others to embrace quality and recognize the value of change as a critical component of performance excellence.
In over twenty-five years in education, Kathryn served as a Chief Officer for Quality Improvement, curriculum coordinator, instructional specialist, and classroom teacher. She designed and delivered training to teachers and administrators from the 54 school districts within the Region 4 Educational Service Center area as well as schools and districts across the state and nation. Kathryn has developed customized services and training for curriculum, assessment, and instruction; leadership development; mentoring and coaching; strategic planning; team building; group facilitation; and, program evaluation.
Kathryn is an American Society for Quality Certified Quality Manager for Organizational Excellence. She is a senior member of the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and the Quality Texas Board of Examiners. For Quality Texas, Kathryn has served as vice-chair of the Board of Overseers, team leader, feedback writer, process coach, and trainer. She earned a B.A. in English from the University of Houston, a M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction from the University of Houston, and a Ph.D. in educational administration from Texas A&M University.
