Laschever was Connecticut's director of tourism for more than 17 years and, for more than 30 years, has been a travel editor and writer for such newspapers as the Hartford Courant, the Hartford Times, and the New York Herald-Tribune. For three years he was managing editor for Fodor's Guides. He lives in Goshen, Connecticut.
