A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Nicholas R. Lardy received his M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan. He has been an assistant professor of economics at Yale University since 1975. Dr. Lardy spent the spring and summer of 1978 in Asia under the auspices of an American Council of Learned Societies Fellowship for Language and Advanced Training in East Asia.
