Person
Susan Lane emigrated from London to Tasmania, Australia at the age of eleven, travelling on a ship for six weeks across the world with her family. Although Australia is a wonderful country filled with opportunities, Susan often yearned to be back in Cornwall where she had spent so many holidays. Finally, after thirty-five years of bringing up their two sons and teaching hundreds of children, Susan and her husband returned to Cornwall. It was here that the idea of Gary Bird was born. Susan hopes that, like Gary, she too can make a difference through kindness and empathy for others.
