Sue Lancaster is a children's writer living in Mortlake, London with her husband, two children and two cats. Sue graduated from the Golden Egg Academy's year-long Picture Book Programme in 2020 and has since had two picture books published, along with a number of write-for-hire projects. Her debut rhyming picture book, Supermoon (Tielmour Press) was released in November 2024, closely followed by Outside the Box (HB Publishing House) in May 2025. Prior to this saw the publication of several commissioned projects including The Perfect One (Mayo Clinic Press Kids) in February 2024 and a hand puppet board book series (Two Windmills Publishing) in June 2023. Sue has enjoyed competition success too, winning first place in the Winchester Writers' Weekend Picture Book Competition, first place in Glittery Literary's Cherished Children's Story Competition, and being longlisted in both the Write Mentor Children's Picture Book Awards and Writing Magazine's Writing for Children Competition. In 2022, Sue set up a children's literary magazine called The Toy which she continues to edit. The publication features the poetry, stories and illustrations of creators from all around the world.
