Anna Backman Rogers is Professor of Aesthetics, Culture and Feminist Theory at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Her previous publications include American Independent Cinema: Rites of Passage and The Crisis-Image (2015), Sofia Coppola: The Politics of Visual Pleasure (2019), Still Life: Notes on Barbara Loden's Wanda (2020), and Picnic at Hanging Rock (BFI Film Classics, 2022). Laura Mulvey is Professor of Film and Media Studies at Birkbeck College, University of London, UK. She is the author of Fetishism and Curiosity (1996), Death Twenty-four Times a Second: Stillness and the Moving Image (2006), and Visual and Other Pleasures (2nd edition, 2010).
